Together for climate and coffee
Climate change and its consequences are not fair. They threaten coffee cultivation worldwide - and therefore also the livelihoods of the people who grow coffee. By 2050, 50% of the land used to grow coffee could be lost due to the consequences of climate change.
At Café Intención, we have always believed that coffee is only good if everyone benefits from it. That is why we will also take on this new challenge. How do we take action? By planting shade trees together with local coffee farmers in order to adapt coffee cultivation to the consequences of climate change.
And you can join in! With every pack of Bio Gustoso purchased in the food service sector and every pack of country coffee purchased in food retail, we plant a shade tree in the country of origin. You also benefit from a transparent supply chain, as the Arabica coffee in all our Café Intención products is proven to come from the participating coffee cooperatives.
