Our Story Crafted with purpose and roasted with precision

Eighty9 is more than a name, it’s the year Eamonn began our journey into the world of exceptional coffee. Over the years, our passion has evolved into a commitment to sourcing, roasting, and delivering consistently high-quality coffee.

Our beans come from the best growing regions globally, cultivated by dedicated farmers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability. Each origin tells a story, and we treat every bean with the care it deserves.

For over 20 years, Dún Laoghaire has been our home, and we are delighted to craft coffees in the heart of this beautiful town. Our expansion to Ballymount allowed us to meet growing demand while maintaining the same meticulous attention to detail.

As Ireland’s premium small-lot coffee roasters, we rely on Probat’s industry-leading roasting technology to ensure flawless results. With advanced features such as precise temperature control, comprehensive roasting storage, and replicable roast profiles, we achieve unmatched consistency and flavour in every batch.

Sustainability Sustainability is at the heart of Eighty9

At Eighty9, sustainability is not an afterthought, it’s a core part of how we operate.

Our roastery in Dún Laoghaire is partially powered by solar energy, reducing our carbon footprint and demonstrating our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. From sourcing beans from dedicated, ethical farmers to embracing renewable energy in our roasting process, we strive to make every cup of coffee as sustainable as it is exceptional.

This is just one part of our ongoing efforts to combine craftsmanship, quality, and environmental stewardship in every step of our coffee journey.
