Café Intención was initially established in 2004 based on the intention of giving something back to the coffee farmers and the regions from which they originate. In 1993, J.J. Darboven was the first supplier of fair-trade coffee in the German market, which today plays a major role in the fact that Fairtrade coffee is no longer a niche product. Younger consumers in particular are placing more and more value on fair-trade products and are also prepared to pay a higher price for this, which is certainly interesting for your business.
Naturally, the respective seal has to be on the Fairtrade coffees, but it is not very easy to get. Coffee farmers, dealers and roasters must meet strict guidelines of cooperation before the fair trade seal can appear on the packaging. The seal is where our fairtrade code is located.
